Ran ran & Haonan | Yosemite Elopement

Ranran & Haonan | Yosemite Elopement

Summing this day into a paragraph or two of words is going to be tough. Ranran and Haonan reached out to us and said they were wanting to fly all the way from China to get married in Northern California, I was SO dang stoked. These two were open to suggestions on where to get married and of course, Yosemite National Park is always the first place that comes to mind. I remembered seeing Yosemite for the first time back in February early this year and being blown away at it’s beauty and vastness. It is truly one of the most unique and beautiful places I’ve ever been to. Not only does it offer mountains and ridiculous rock formations, but it’s home to some of the most beautiful and robust waterfalls around.

So, you get it. Yosemite is stupid beautiful. But so was this entire day! From the time I walked into the house to capture these two getting ready, I felt so welcomed. Ranran and Haonan were so open to doing anything and everything we could to create  a memorable day in all aspects. These two recited their vows from memory in the forest and ended the day with a beautiful portrait session near Glacier point. They also taught me certain phrases in their language to help keep them laughing. I’m still not 100% sure what I was saying though. Oh well!
Here are some highlights from this beautiful Yosemite elopement!

Hey, it's us!

Hey there! We are Cody & Allison; Nashville Wedding Photographers. A few years ago, our lives drastically shifted and left us questioning almost everything from our careers as wedding photographers all the way to our marriage. This led us down a path of personal growth and that's when we discovered two key ingredients of happiness...to continually be true to ourselves and to spend time with the things and people that we love. That's when we realized our cameras are simply tools to deepen the intimacy and self confidence of our couples. Relationships are at the heart of why we do what we do and our biggest intention is in providing an experience that is beyond just the transaction of getting paid to show up and take a few nice photos. You deserve more than that.
